Cross Country Opens Season At Cedarville Open

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It's time to take your mark and get set for another Ohio Dominican cross country season. The Panthers begin the 2020 campaign on Saturday when they head to Cedarville University to compete in the Cedarville Open.

The men's race (8K) will begin 11:00 a.m. with the women's race (5K) to follow at noon. Both races will be streamed live and you can watch by clicking the link here

ODU will share the course with competitors from Grace Christian University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Ohio Christian University, Cedarville University, Thomas More University, Trevecca Nazarene University, and Walsh University.

The Black and Gold return Caleb Belmont (Carroll, Ohio) who set the freshman 8K record at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships last season. The Panthers men also welcome back Jaren Gilliam (Euclid, Ohio), Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio), Sean Noll (Sheradan, Ohio), Chayse Smith (Crooksville, Ohio), and Ethan Sinning (Tipp City, Ohio).

The Panther women are powered by junior Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio), sophomore Paige Boehringer (Covington, Ohio) and Emma Lutz (Celina, Ohio) who return after enjoying a solid 2019 campaign.

In addition to those running return to compete for the Panthers, five ODU newcomers will make their debut in Cedarville this weekend.
