Cross Country Teams Finish Second at the Battle of Columbus

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's cross country teams each finished second at the Battle of Columbus on Friday evening.

The event was ran as a 5k and the men accrued 56 points while the women had 58 points. Otterbein won both events with the men and women each having 15 points.

The Panther men were led by senior Alejandro Serna (Duncanville, Tx.) who finished  10th with a time of 16:49.0 in the event while fellow senior Bobby Bogants (Sunbury, Ohio) finished 18th with a time of 17:32.3.

Sophomore Keaton McNair (Pickerington, Ohio) and freshman Ethan Sinning (Tipp City, Ohio) finished 21st and 23rd, respectively. Rounding out the men's team was junior Jaren Gilliam (Euclid, Ohio) who finished 29th and sophomores Draven Bass (Circleville, Ohio) and Chayse Smith (Crooksville, Ohio) who finished 31st and 33rd, respectively.

On the women's side, the Panthers were led by junior Megan Tamasovich (Canal Winchester, Ohio) who finished 18th with a time of 21:57.2. Also leading the way for the Panthers was senior Kristin Noecker (Circleville, Ohio) who finished 22nd with a time of 22:49.0.

Finishing 25th overall was freshman Addy Miller-Brown (Marysville, Ohio) while senior Micaela Carroll (Parma, Ohio) was just behind finishing 28th overall. Rounding out the women's lineup was freshman Ashley Wihl (Williamsport, Ohio) and sophomore Kylie Risinger-O'Malley (Grove City, Ohio) who finished 30th and 36th overall, respectively.

The cross country teams turn their attention to the Friendship Invitational hosted by Cedarville on Saturday, September 15.
