Black And Gold Prep For Busy Three Game Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican volleyball team has another busy week on tap for them with three matches on the docket.

The Panthers are 9-16 overall with a 5-8 record in the conference. Junior Olivia Kirksey (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) averages 3.34 kills per set. Kirksey has recorded eight consecutive matches with double figure kills.

Defensive specialist Kelsey Shoup (Dalton, Ohio) averages 3.47 digs per set. Shoup has collected 1,033 digs in her career.

Setter Gabrielle Kirker (Tallmadge, Ohio) averages 5.44 assists per set. Kirker has a total of 441 assists in her freshman campaign. Fellow setter Saige Avery (Yorkville, Ill.) averages 5.00 assists per set.

Kirker and Alexis Keipert (Burlington, Ky.) lead the Black and Gold with 30 service aces each.

About Central St.

The Marauders are 4-22 overall. Zahra Coates leads the team with 1.94 kills per set. Kayla Adams averages 7.65 assists per set.

About Tiffin

The Dragons are currently 12-14 overall and 6-7 in the conference. In the first match up, the Panthers were victorious with w 3-0 sweep back on Sept. 24. Diana Heitkamp leads TU with 4.24 digs per set.

About Ashland

The Eagles are 20-6 and 13-0 in the G-MAC, sitting at first in the conference standings. In the first meeting, the Black and Gold fell 3-0 at home. Anna Krikke averages 1.08 blocks per set.

First serve is set for 6 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from Wilberforce, Ohio. ODU returns home on Friday for another 6 PM start time in Alumni Hall. The Black and Gold conclude the week on the road with a 2 PM match at Ashland, Ohio on Saturday.
