HILLSDALE, Mich. – Ohio Dominican volleyball freshman Emilee Fecht (Hilliard, Ohio) was named to the Great Midwest Second Team during the conference's annual award banquet Thursday evening.
Fecht becomes the first Panther volleyball player to receive all-conference accolades from the G-MAC and is the first ODU all-conference performer to receive second team or higher honors since 2015.
The Central Ohio native became the third freshman in the past seven seasons to lead the Black & Gold in season hitting percentage. Fecht hit over .300 in 10 matches this fall, finishing with a mark of .220 for the season.
The freshman led the team with 30 service aces, while also ranking second on the squad in total kills (240) and blocks (67). Fecht had 10 matches with double-digit kills, including a season-high 16 against G-MAC rival Walsh. She also had a season-best seven blocks in a non-conference clash with Shorter.
A total of 24 student-athletes were named to the two all-conference teams. Fecht was one of two true freshmen to be named to an all-GMAC team.
