Women's Soccer Fall To Timberwolves

MIDLAND, Mich. – The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team traveled to Michigan to battle Northwood. The Panthers fell 5-2.

ODU keeper Jadelyn McNerney (Springboro, Ohio) was challenged early when Juliana Paoletti fired off a shot to the bottom left in the second minute, resulting in her first save of the afternoon.

Timberwolves kept the pressure when Stephanie O'Keefe connected with Paoletti to open the scoring in the 2nd minute. Paoletti registered her own goal in the fourth minute after combining with Carly Boyd, leading 2-0. 

Boyd collected her second assist in the 10th minute when Abbie Fowler extended Northwoods lead, 3-0.

O'Keefe tallied her second goal in the 12th minute with the assist going to teammate Savannah Wallace, growing the Timberwolves' lead 4-0.

Alex Garver (Springboro, Ohio) registered the first shot for the Panthers in the 31st minute.

Fowler added her second goal of the match after joining with Katie Foster in the 38th minute.

The Black and Gold are on the board in the 43rd minute when Emily Wittekind (Cincinnati, Ohio) paired with Avery Rice (Lima, Ohio), trailing going into halftime 5-1.

Out of the break, Morgan Kirk (Findlay, Ohio) connected with Makenna Greer (Pickerington, Ohio) to close the Northwood lead, 5-2. 

With no answer, the Panthers dropped the match 5-2.
