Women's Soccer Receives Five Player Selections to the OCSA All-Ohio Teams

COMPLETE 2014 OCSA ALL-OHIO TEAMS

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The women's soccer team received more individual honors this past week as five players were named to the 2014 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio teams.

Four Panthers were selected to the first team All-Ohio including senior Jordan Mazzi (Sunbury, OH), sophomores Amanda Fodor (Hilliard, OH) and Kethryn Mattingly (Beavercreek, OH), and freshman Ashley Blake (Hilliard, OH). Senior Broegan Sautter (Bellville, OH) received Second Team All-Ohio honors.

Mazzi: The senior ended her career playing the most games all-time in ODU history at 76. Mazzi scored five goals and a career high three assists this season. She ranks inside the top ten in goals (20) and points (44). Mazzi was named to the Second Team Daktronics All-Region and First Team All-GLIAC. She was also named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after her game winning goal at nationally ranked Grand Valley State.

Fodor: Another stable in the Panther defense, Fodor started in all 21 games this season and has now started in 34 of 37 games played at ODU. Fodor helped lead a Panther defense which had a goals against average of 0.83. The defense allowed just 80 of 176 total shots to reach the goalkeepers. Fodor added two goals and three assists this season. She was named to the Daktronics Second Team Midwest Region and First Team All-GLIAC.

Mattingly: The sophomore defender started in 20 of the 21 matches this season, after starting in 16 of 17 contests in her freshman season. Mattingly helped lead the Panther defense to recording a shutout in almost half of the matches this season with nine. The Panther defense gave up just 18 goals on the season. She also helped out on the offensive end scoring once on the only penalty kick of the season, and adding two assists. She has been named to the Second Team Daktronics All-Region, First Team All-GLIAC, and the GLIAC All-Tournament team.

Blake: The forward led the Panthers in all three scoring categories. Blake recorded 10 goals and five assists for a total of 25 points. All three totals rank inside the top 10 for an individual in a season at ODU. Her 10 goals were also fifth most by a newcomer. Blake was also named GLIAC Freshman of the Year, First Team All-GLIAC, and the GLIAC All-Tournament team.

Sautter: The defensive midfielder scored twice for the Panthers this season, each in spectacular fashion from long distance. Sautter has been a consistent player in the Panther lineup the past two seasons as she has started in all 21 games this season, as well as, all 18 games in 2013.
