COLUMBUS, Ohio --The Ohio Dominican women's soccer team broke the school all-time record for most wins in a season after the 3-2 victory over Ashland in the GLIAC Semifinals.

The No. 23 Panthers (15-3-1, 10-1-1 GLIAC) have now won 10 consecutive matches, also a school record, and will face defending conference and national champion No. 11 Grand Valley State on Sunday in ODU's first ever GLIAC tournament championship.

It was another freshman that led the Panthers on a frigid Friday night as Allison Pavlik (Cortland, OH) recorded one goal and one assist. Junior Lauren Pratt (West Chester, OH) and sophomore Madison Baldwin (Zanesville, OH) added the other two Panther goals. Senior Laura Clark (Lapeer, MI) stayed unbeaten on the season as she now holds a 6-0-0 record.

The theme for ODU this season has been to get off to a fast start, which was the case again on Friday as Pratt scored in the 12th minute off a double assist from freshman Ashley Blake (Hilliard, OH) and sophomore Kelly Johnson (Berea, OH).

The fifth seeded Eagles (12-7-0, 7-5-0 GLIAC) were able to tie the match in the 31st as Morgan Bittengle got past the Panther defense to make the score 1-1.

Two late first half goals from Pavlik and Baldwin though, gave ODU a 3-1 lead heading into the break. Pavlik scored on a shot from the top of the box in the 39th minute, while Baldwin scored with 50 seconds remaining in the opening half on a cross from Pavlik.

ODU controlled much of the possession in the early stages of the second half before an Ashland goal in the 79th minute tightened the game. The Panthers were able to hold off the charging Eagles, allowing just the one shot in the second half to secure the 3-2 victory.

Overall, ODU held a 9-8 advantage in shots, with six of the nine shots being on goal.

ODU and GVSU will play for the GLIAC championship at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The two top 25 nationally ranked teams shared the regular season title with 10-1-1 records. In the first meeting the Panthers defeated the Lakers 1-0 in Allendale, Michigan.
