PATASKALA, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's golf team jumped a spot from yesterday and finished 10th in the Cumberland Trail Classic shooting a two round total of 640 with rounds of 325 and 315.
Senior Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) led the way for the Panthers with a career-low round of 74 in round two as she posted her sixth career top-10 finish tying for 10th with a 153 total over the two days. Romine finished the event tied for fourth in the event recording seven birdies over the 36 holes.
Fellow seniors Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) finished tied for 29th as she shot 76 yesterday and followed that up with an 82 on day two and Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) followed up her 86 with a 78 on day two to finish tied for 46th. Krueger was tied for third in par-3 scoring at +1 over the two days and was one of only two players with an eagle.
Sophomores Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio) and Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) finished tied for 53rd and 63rd, respectively. Parker shot 84 and 82 to finish at 166 over the two days while Gomes had rounds of 88 and 81.
The Panthers will be back on the links traveling to the Lady Bulldog Invitational hosted by Ferris State Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 at the Katke Golf Club.
