Women's Golf Sits 11th After Day One of CT Classic

PATASKALA, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's women's golf team sits in 11th place at the Cumberland Trail Classic shooting 325 on day one.

Tiffin leads the tournament after shooting 292 while Ferris State is second at 296. Emily Koehler of Tiffin leads the tournament individually after shooting 69 (-3).

The Panthers were led by seniors Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) and Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio). Swensen shot a 76 (+4) to sit tied for 15th while Romine shot 79 and is tied for 26th.

Sophomore Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio) shot 84 and is tied for 60th. Senior Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and sophomore Alex Gomez (Morrow, Ohio) rounded out the Panther five with scores of 86 and 88, respectively.

Leading the players playing as individuals, freshman Alyssa Newsom (Granville, Ohio) sits tied for 42nd after shooting 82 on day one. 

Round two of the Cumberland Trail Classic begins at 9 a.m. tomorrow with a shotgun start.
