INDIANAPOLIS – Ohio Dominican track and field collected post-season accolades on Wednesday afternoon when Eugene Boahen was named to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference Third Team.
Boahen enjoyed a tremendous outdoor season as he specialized in the 100 and 200-meter sprints and the 4x100 meter relay. His best outings of the outdoor campaign came during the G-MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Owensboro, Kentucky.
The Panther competitor finished the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.86 seconds, which earned him a third-place podium finish. That mark was also just two one-hundredths of a second off his personal best time of 10.84 seconds for the event.
He collected another third-place finish in the 200-meters, finishing with a mark of 21.90 seconds. Boahen added a fourth-place finish in the 4x100 meters to his meet resumé.
His award marks the first time a Panther has captured an All-Conference Outdoor Track and Field award since Clayton Seymour claimed third-team honors in 2019. Boahen is also the first All-Conference award recipient for the Black and Gold since Megan Tomasovich claimed Indoor Track and Field honors in March 2020.
