BAY CITY, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's softball player junior Taylor Thomas (Bellville, Ohio) was chosen as the GLIAC Player of the Week after helping guide the Panthers to a 4-2 weekend.
Thomas hit .500 (9-18) in ODU's four GLIAC over Tiffin, Lake, Erie, and Walsh. Thomas hit two homeruns, and drove in five runs, while scoring three runs. Thomas was 2-3 with three RBI and a homerun in the win over Lake Erie in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. She is currently on an 11-game hitting streak and ranks first in the GLIAC in homeruns with five, first in total bases (42), and third in slugging percentage (.792). She is leading the team with an overall batting average of .409 and tied for first in total RBI with 23.
