BAY CITY, Mich. – Ohio Dominican's softball team was picked to finish fifth in the 2014 GLIAC Coaches' Preseason Softball Poll, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The Panthers picker up 113 points, nine points behind fourth-place Ferris State. Last season, ODU finished with a conference mark of 17-9.
Grand Valley was projected to win the conference with 159 points and six first place votes, followed by Wayne State with 156 points and six first place votes and Ashland with 147 points and two first place votes.
Ohio Dominican will travel to Nashville, Tenn this weekend for a nonconference doubleheader with Trevecca Nazarene. The first game is set to start at noon with the second game to follow a 2 p.m. All games are in Central Standard Time.
