Panthers Continue to Roll on the Road

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Ohio Dominican men's soccer team is quickly becoming a road warrior as they picked up their straight road decision, taking down GLIAC foe Saginaw Valley State 1-0 to improve to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the GLIAC.

After neither team could grab a lead in the first half, ODU got on the board at the 69:58 mark in the second when Felix Darko (Jr./Reynoldsburg, OH) found Tommy Glenn (So./Pataskala, OH;pictured) for the score. Glenn's game winner was his second goal of the season.

For the game, the Panthers outshot the Cardinals 16-14. Goalkeeper Tyler Gleason's (Sr./Grove City, OH) five saves helped neutralize Saginaw Valley's 9-5 advantage on corner kicks.

ODU returns home to continue conference play, hosting Ashland University at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 and fellow GLIAC newcomer Lake Erie College at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19 at Panther Field as part of a Panthers soccer doubleheader.
