Men's Golf Opens Season at Golden Eagle Invitational

CHARLESTON, West Va. - The Ohio Dominican men's golf team kicked off the 2022-23 season on Monday (Sept. 12) in the Golden Eagle Invitational. 

Ohio Dominican tallied a first-round score of 295 after 18 holes at Edgewood Country Club, earning a sixth place start on day one. 

Sophomore Yadhu Urs (Castries, Saint Lucia) made three birdies as he finished with a one-over-72. Urs, playing as the individual, sits in a 20th place tie. 

Graduate student Mack Cushman (Mechanicsburg, Ohio) and senior Jacob Brownley (West Chester, Ohio) tallied scores of 73 as they are tied for 24th on day one. Brownley birdied three times in his round. 

Freshman Nash Linder (Grove City, Ohio) was one stroke behind the pair of Cushman and Brownley with a 74, including an eagle on the par-5, 532-yard 16th hole. 

Harrison Leaver (Worchester, England) and graduate student Brett Coughlin (Washington, Illinois) both finished with 75 on their scorecards, tied for 39th place. 

The second round will commence on Tuesday (Sept. 13) afternoon.
