COLUMBUS, Ohio – Coming off a solid 80-68 win over Tiffin on Monday, the Ohio Dominican men's basketball team will once again hit the road with a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games at Findlay and Hillsdale.

Findlay Series Notes: The Oilers and Panthers last met earlier this season in Columbus. Findlay defeated ODU by the score of 87-62. The Oilers have posted a 25-6 advantage in the all-time series against Ohio Dominican dating back to the 1969-70 campaign when they were victorious by a score of 87-69.

Hillsdale Series Notes: The Panthers picked up their first ever win over Hillsdale on January 18. ODU won by just two points 57-55. The Chargers however still lead the all-time series, 6-1.

News, Notes, and Storylines

  • The Panthers cruised to an 80-68 win over Tiffin on Monday thanks to a hot shooting Panther squad and a 48 point performance by the Panther bench. The 12 point victory is the largest margin the Panthers have ever beaten a GLIAC opponent.
  • Sophomore Mark Minch (West Chester, Ohio) led the Panthers with 21 points. Sophomore Trent Weaver (Columbus, Ohio) and senior Brandon Carr (Chicago, Ill.) had 15 points each.
  • The trio of Minch, Weaver and sophomore Chad Nelson (Columbus, Ohio) pace the Panthers in the scoring column. Minch is averaging 15.7 ppg and Nelson and Weaver are averaging 12.3 and 11.2 respectively.
  • Weaver is second in the GLIAC in rebounds per game, pulling down 8.3.
  • As a team, the Panthers are pulling down 11.9 offensive rebounds per game, ranking them second in the GLIAC.

Scouting the Oilers
Findlay enters tonight's game with a 15-4 overall record and an 11-4 mark in the GLIAC. The Oilers are 2-1 in their last three games, suffering a rare loss at home at the hands of Walsh by the score of 81-61. Findlay bounced back with wins against Malone, 84-63 and Hillsdale, 74-71.

Scouting the Chargers
Hillsdale is 7-3 over its last 10 games and has lost its last two on the road.  At home, the Chargers have an impressive 9-1 record with the only loss to Michigan Tech back in December. In their first meeting this season, the Panthers snapped an eight game winning streak after beating the Chargers 57-55 in Columbus.
