BAY CITY, Mich. – Ohio Dominican senior point guard Morgan Jones (Oberlin, Ohio) received recognition on the All-GLIAC Second Team, announced Friday by the league office.
Jones posted double-digit points in 25 of the Panthers 28 games, including 10 games where he scored 20 points or more. For the season, Jones averaged 16.7 points per game, which was fifth in the conference. He also finished third in the league in steals with 43 and fifth with 84 assists.
For his career, Jones played in 100 games in a Panther uniform. On January 24, Jones became the 22nd ODU men's basketball player to score more than 1,000 points. Morgan finished his career with 1,186.
Jones finished fifth in the Panther record books with 159 career steals, and sixth all-time in Panther history in assists, dishing out 274.
Michigan Tech's Ali Haider was selected as the Player of the Year while Malone's Christian Graves was named Freshman of the Year. Wayne State's head coach David Greers earned Coach of the Year honors.
