COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Dominican men's basketball team will conclude their 2012-13 season with a two game home stand beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 27, with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against Notre Dame (Ohio) in Alumni Hall.
About the Panthers
On Thursday, the Panthers fell at Ashland by a score of 84-71. Senior Morgan Jones (Oberlin, Ohio) led the Panthers with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. Freshman Trent Weaver (Columbus, Ohio) posted his second double-double of the season, scoring a career-high 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. The trio of freshman Mark Minch (West Chester, Ohio), junior Don Kellum (Chicago, Ill.) and freshman center Jordan Cowgill (Worthington, Ohio) came off the bench and added nine points apiece. On the defensive end, sophomore Bobby Stauffer (Lexington, Ky.) pulled down 10 boards.
On Saturday, ODU lost 60-59 in overtime to Lake Erie. Jones paced the Panthers once again, scoring 19 points to go along with his three steals. Stauffer added 10 points while Weaver had eight points and seven rebounds.
Jones is currently ranked third in the GLIAC in steals with 40, fifth in assists (78) and points per game, averaging 17.0 a contest.
As a team, the Panthers rank first in offensive rebounds per game, pulling down 13.0 and second in total rebounds per game with 35.2. ODU is third in free throw percentage, shooting 74.2 from the charity stripe while ranking sixth in blocks per game with 3.3.
About the Falcons
Notre Dame enters Wednesday's contest with an overall record of 10-11. Most recently, the Falcons fell to Cedarville 79-72. Eric Dummermuth leads the Falcons, averaging 18.2 points per game, while pulling down 9.0 rebounds per contest. Teammates Tyree Gaiter and Lawrence Dearmond are averaging 16.1 and 14.7 points per game respectively.

Currently, the series is tied at 5-5. These two teams last met during the 2011-12 season where the Falcons walked away with an 86-72 victory in Murphy Gymnasium. Jones had 11 points, three assists and two steals in the loss.
