Minch Earns First Men’s Basketball Conference Player of the Week Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. – Freshman guard Mark Minch (West Chester, Ohio) was named the GLIAC South Division Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the first in men's basketball to earn the award since the Panthers joined the conference in 2010.

Minch had an impressive start to his season, registering a combined 35 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and three assists in two games. The Panthers fell to Maryville 69-56 and defeated McKendree 85-77 in the two-day tournament. Minch scored in double digits both games, recording 19 points and eight rebounds against Maryville and 16 points, five rebounds and four steals in the win over the Bearcats.

He currently leads all Panthers in points per game (17.5), second on the team in rebounds per game (5.5) and first in steals per game (2.5).

Ohio Dominican finished the weekend with a 1-1 record and will welcome Ohio Valley to Alumni Hall this Saturday, Nov. 17 for a 3 p.m. nonconference game.
