COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Facing its second ranked opponent in three days, Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team will look to split its season series with GLIAC South Division foe Findlay at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Alumni Hall.
Saturday's game also coincides with the GLIAC and ODU "Pink Wave" games, with money raised at the gate and through t-shirt sales going to breast cancer research.
ODU dropped an 82-66 decision on the road at No. 20 Hillsdale on Thursday, falling to 2-10 away from Alumni Hall this year. The Chargers led wire-to-wire, jumping to an 8-2 lead in the opening minutes. The Panthers got to within 16-11, but that would be as close as ODU would come the rest of the game.
Junior forward Aaron Gibbs tallied a season-high 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting, the best individual field goal percentage by a player in the GLIAC. Sophomore guard Morgan Jones recorded 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting while matching his career-best with six steals, and freshman guard Zack Joseph tied his career-high with nine points off the bench.
Findlay has won eight straight contests and climbed to third in the national rankings this week. The Oilers scored an 83-67 victory over rival Tiffin on Thursday, hitting all 21 of its free throw attempts. UF was led by by Greg Kahlig and Nathan Hyde, who each scored 18 points.
