COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican's men's basketball team returns to Alumni Hall for its first conference home game as the Panthers host Michigan Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Panthers will look to snap a three-game losing skid, with all three of those losses coming on the road. ODU (2-5, 0-2 GLIAC) dropped its first league contests last week, falling 80-53 at nationally ranked Grand Valley State and 86-60 at Ferris State. The Panthers were limited to 33.9 percent shooting in those two games while committing 39 turnovers, while their opponents shot 50.4 percent from the field and had a +6.5 edge in rebounding.
Aaron Gibbs led the way against Ferris State with 12 points and seven boards, while Kip Kelley matched his career-high with 12 points, burying four three-pointers. ODU trailed just 41-35 early in the second half before the Bulldogs went on a 20-8 run to create some separation.
The Huskies enter the game with a 6-1 (1-0 GLIAC) record after defeating rival Northern Michigan 109-84 on Saturday, cracking the 100-point barrier for the second time this season. Four players average at least 12.9 points per game, led by Mike Hojnacki's 18.6 per contest.
