Gibbs, Rodriguez and Trew earn All-A.I.I. Accolades

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In their first and only season in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) the Ohio Dominican men's basketball team made it to the championship game of the conference tournament and this week had three players recently named to the 2009-10 All-Conference Team.  

Aaron Gibbs (Oberlin, OH), Adriene Rodriguez (Lorian, OH; pictured) and John Trew (Barberton, OH) represented Ohio Dominican on the 10-man All-Conference Team. Johnson & Wales who defeated the Panthers, 65-60, in the finals had four players selected, Marygrove earned two nominations and Indiana-Southeast placed one player on the team.

Johnson & Wales senior forward, Andrew Baker, was selected the A.I.I. Player of the Year and the Wildcats head coach Jeff Culver was named the Coach of the Year. Johnson & Wales will make their second straight appearance in the NAIA Men's Basketball Division II National Championships.
