Weselhoeft Tabbed As Preseason All-American By D2Football.com

LOGAN, Ohio – Redshirt senior Paul Wesselhoeft (Logan, Ohio) has been named to the 2016 D2Football.com Preseason All-American Team.

Wesselhoeft, a 6-5, 285-pound defensive lineman, was listed as a second team selection.

Last year, he earned First Team All-GLIAC recognition after registering 29 tackles (6.5 TFL) and 2.5 sacks for the Panthers. He made a season-high seven tackles with a sack against Grand Valley State on Sept. 12 and had a trio of four tackle games as well.

Wesselhoeft also had a big game against Ferris State in the 2014 playoffs, tallying seven tackles (3.5 TFL) with a forced fumble in the win.

In his career, Wesselhoeft has appeared in 31 games and made 78 tackles (18.0 TFL) and 7.5 sacks. He's also forced two fumbles and recovered four.

Ohio Dominican begins its season at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Ferris State.
