FINDLAY, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's baseball team couldn't generate any momentum in a Saturday doubleheader at Findlay, falling by scores of 7-3 and 18-5 in GLIAC play.

With the setbacks, the Panthers dropped to 12-19 (8-9 GLIAC), while the Oilers improved to 14-15 (7-10 GLIAC).

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning of the opener, the Panthers came back with a tally of their own in the second. Freshmen Collin Parcher (Napoleon, Ohio) and Jacob Horsley (Thornville, Ohio) wore out the right field line with a double and a single, respectively, and junior Anthony Raschilla (Girard, Ohio) came through with a sacrifice fly that scored Parcher from third. ODU had a chance to take the lead but had a runner cut down at the plate to end the frame.

Findlay answered with two runs in the second, then took control with a three-run third as the Panthers committed three errors in the two innings. The Oilers would then stretch their lead to 7-1 with another run in the fourth.

The Panthers scored once in the sixth on a bases-loaded single by sophomore Marcus Schluessler (Zanesville, Ohio), then picked up their final run in the seventh on Parcher's RBI basehit to center.

Parcher had a career-high four hits and Schluessler finished with three hits as well to lead ODU's offense, which had 11 hits and five walks but stranded 11 runners on base.

Freshman Ryan Colegate (Centerville, Ohio) was terrific in relief, punching out a season-best nine batters in three scoreless innings of relief. He held Findlay to just one hit after entering in the fourth inning. Colegate came into today's game with 10 strikeouts in 11 innings on the season.

In game two, Findlay  scored two runs in each of the first three innings, then broke the game wide open with a 10-run fourth to take a 16-0 lead.

Freshman Dylan West (Westerville, Ohio) and junior Bryan Rudolph (Pickerington, Ohio) notched two hits apiece for ODU and sophomore Kyle Tisdale (Uniontown, Ohio) had two RBI.

Ohio Dominican and Findlay wrap up their three-game series with a single nine-inning game starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
