COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Dominican Athletic Department has announced its plans for spectators during the upcoming basketball season, including a partnership with HomeTown Ticketing.
Spectator Update (as of Nov. 27, 2020)
Due to state, local and university guidelines for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ODU Athletic Department has made the decision that through the end of December 2020, all indoor sporting events will be conducted without fans.
The University and the Athletic Department, along with its Pandemic Task Force will determine at a later date whether fans will be permitted at sporting events during the 2021 portion of the athletic calendar.
All home events will still be available through the Great Midwest Digital Network, and links to live video streaming for each game can be found on the respective schedule pages for ODU teams.
Partnership With HomeTown Ticketing
Ohio Dominican joins several Great Midwest Athletic Conference institutions by entering a partnership with HomeTown Ticketing. HomeTown is a digital ticketing solution, geared specifically toward colleges, universities, and grade schools.
Once fans are permitted to attend Panther sporting events, all tickets will be purchased online through the HomeTown platform. Spectators will then be able to scan their tickets at the entrance of the event, allowing Ohio Dominican to continue to practice social distancing throughout the event process.
"The health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and spectators are our top priority," stated ODU Athletic Director Jeff Blair. "This partnership with HomeTown is just one step of many we are taking to assure the safety of all those involved once we are able to and comfortable welcoming back spectators."
"We are thrilled to support Ohio Dominican University and the Panther Community," added Ryan Hart, Chairman and CEO of HomeTown Ticketing. "HomeTown provides colleges the tools needed to achieve fast scans and happy fans."
More information regarding how to purchase tickets to ODU events through HomeTown will be made available once the selling platform has been completed.
