Trio Of Matches Awaits Volleyball At Midwest Region Crossover

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican's volleyball team steps out of G-MAC play as the Panthers travel to Aurora, Ill., to participate in the Midwest Region Crossover this weekend, featuring schools from the G-MAC, GLIAC and GLVC.

The Panthers will take on GLVC foes Missouri S&T (2:30 p.m. CT, Friday) and William Jewell (10 a.m. CT, Saturday) before concluding play against GLIAC opponent Lake Superior State (4 p.m. CT, Saturday).

ODU suffered a pair of home setbacks last weekend, falling in four sets to Malone and in three frames to Walsh.

Freshman Ashton Barr (New Castle, Ind.) ranks fifth in the G-MAC with 7.8 assists per set and junior Anna Ficker (Cincinnati, Ohio) ranks seventh in the conference with 4.1 digs per set. Junior Jordan Jaeckin (Olmsted Falls, Ohio) is tied for eighth in the G-MAC with 23 aces as well.

Junior Ciara Ralston (Findlay, Ohio) leads the team with 142 kills, while freshman Alyssa Hoyng (Celina, Ohio) has 118. Hoyng and junior Patricia Barreto (Findlay, Ohio) are tied for the team lead with 38 blocks.
