Volleyball Sweeps West Liberty, 3-0

WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. - Ohio Dominican's volleyball team notched its third sweep of the season, taking down host West Liberty State 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 27-25) in non-conference action on Tuesday.

With the victory, Ohio Dominican improved to 9-4 on the season, bettering last season's win total before the end of September. The Hilltoppers fell to 5-8.

Freshman middle hitter Caitlin Kusan (Westerville, Ohio) had a season-high 18 kills, hitting .533 to lead the Panthers. Kusan also finished with a match-high four blocks. Senior outside hitter Rachel Billing (Anna, Ohio) had 11 kills and 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the season, and sophomore Tara Winner (Versailles, Ohio) had nine kills while hitting .300.

Freshman setter Kelsey Snyder (Macomb, Mich.) had her third straight 40-assist performance, tallying a season-high 42 assists as the Panthers finished with 48 kills in the three-set victory. Freshman Bailey Barker (Muncie, Ind.) led the defense with 19 digs and senior libero Stacy Rogg (Cincinnati, Ohio) helped limit the Hilltoppers to a .187 attack percentage with 12 digs.

After taking the first two sets, ODU had to rally in the third set, recovering from deficits of 22-19 and 25-24 to score the sweep.

The Panthers return home and to conference action with a 7 p.m. match against Tiffin Friday in Alumni Hall.
