COLUMBUS, Ohio — With three top five team finishes and two medalist awards a season ago, Ohio Dominican's women's golf team enters the 2017 fall season ready for competition.
The Panthers will participate in their annual Family and Friends Outing on Saturday, August 26 and overall, ODU will compete in five matches this fall before transitioning to its spring season.
Several of the program's top golfers from last season return in 2017-18. Sophomore Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) will look for a strong second year after ranking second on the squad in scoring average a season ago at 84.0. Junior Kaylin Dill (Sedalia, Ohio) returns with a bevy experience for the Panthers, competing in 31 rounds through her first two years at ODU that included 22 rounds of competition in 2016-17. Junior Bailey Stephens (Mt. Sterling, Ohio) and sophomores Tori Jones (Ashland, Ohio), Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) return after combining for 50 rounds last year.
Ohio Dominican will compete in the Great Midwest Fall Championship, September 18-19, and will host the ODU Cumberland Trail Classic on Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24.
The Panthers will compete in their first match this fall, the Michael Corbett Fall Classic, on Sunday, September 10 and Monday, September 11 at Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, Pennsylvania.
