Smiddy Leads Women’s Golf At Trevecca Nazarene Fall Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Ohio Dominican senior Erin Smiddy (Liberty Township, Ohio) shot a 167 (82-85) to finish in a tie for 33rd out of 72 competitors and pace the ODU women's golf team at the Trevecca Nazarene Fall Invitational at Old Hickory Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

Smiddy led the Panthers in three of their five fall tournaments this season, finishing in the top 40 in four tournaments, including two 17th place finishes at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic (September 12) and Northwood Invitational (October 5).  

Finishing second for Ohio Dominican was freshman Bailey Krueger (Canal Winchester, Ohio), who used a two-day score of 172 (87-85) to place in a tie for 43rd. Krueger's finish marks her highest finish as a Panther thus far.

Freshman Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) recorded a 174 (86-88) to place in a tie for 48th overall, while freshman Kendall Graves (Detroit, Michigan) shot a 175 (86-89) in her third tournament as a Panther.

Overall, Ohio Dominican finished 12th with a total two-day score of 688 (341-347).

The women's golf team will turn its sights to preparation for the 2017 spring season.
