COLUMBUS, Ohio – After spending 12 years as the assistant athletic trainer at Ohio Dominican, JR Bonham is leaving the institution to pursue other career opportunities.
Bonham primarily covered the athletic training needs for both the men's and women's soccer programs, as well as the softball program, while also assisting with all 16 varsity programs at ODU.
The Mount Vernon native has served on a number of committees and has also served as a PA announcer at basketball and football games and a scorekeeper at softball games.
"I'd like to thank JR for all that he has done for the Ohio Dominican athletic department and university as a whole," Athletic Director Jeff Blair said. "He has treated our student-athletes with exceptional care and has done so much more for the department over the past 12 years. It will be hard to replace such a quality athletic trainer, person, and friend, and we wish him all the best."
